Tea Plants
A quick update on the tea plants: They're growing very nicely. Three have sprouted, with a fourth on the way and two more in limbo. The largest of them is getting really big! I'll need a new pot for it soon. Tey're enjoying the company of heirloom tomato sprouts, a gift from Nini of Tay Tea. Exciting!

That is so wonderful. Growing your own tea, where in the world did you get seed or sprouts from. I am so glad you posted this, I love to be able to grow a tea plant.
Ah, yeah! I'm SO excited to see these growing. Mine aren't so lucky -- yet. One is at a greenhouse, so I am hopeful there.

Lady Katherine, I got it from a friend in Japan. I have a few to spare, and can mail them to you if you email me your address at vee at veetea dot com.
Good luck, Steph! I can always send you two more if those don't sprout. :)

Hello, I've been reading your older posts and I find your blog very entertaining and extremely informative for finding further info on tea resources. Since it's been about three years since you planted, have you managed to harvest anything from your tea plants? Thanks!
No, sadly they died after an interstate move. Apparently, the vibrations of a moving truck are extremely unsettling for plants.
